It is a multifactorial disease, with genetic, environmental and individual factors<\/strong> contributing to its occurrence.
\nPsoriasis is caused by an alteration in cell growth. In particular, it is characterised by the accelerated proliferation of epidermal cells (keratinocytes) and, at the same time, by a slowdown in the maturation of these cells, causing thickening of the epidermis.
